And everyday things like road signs and hiking trail markers teach important literacy skills to young readers. The Michigan Learning Channel has partnered with organizations and small businesses across the state to encourage reading of all kinds, in places that may surprise you.

Every year, we run a reading challenge that encourages classrooms and families to set reading goals. Everyone who completes the challenge is entered to win a prize!
